ST. PAUL, Minn. (WSAU) - The murder trial against Jeffrey Trevino has been delayed.

Ramsey County judge Leonardo Castro has granted a delay until mid-September so that the defense can take their own look at an autopsy report on the body of his wife Kira Steger. The 30-year-old Wausau native was pulled from the Mississippi River in May after she went missing in February.

The judge also ruled that the jury will be able to hear testimony from friends of Steger who told them her marriage was falling apart before her disappearance. That testimony will be limited.

A new trial date has been set for September 16th.
