WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) - A man that police say remains a person of interest in the disappearance of Stephanie Low is going to prison for an unrelated charge.
33-year-old Kristopher Torgerson will spend the next four years in prison, followed by two more years on extended supervision after pleading no contest to battery and guilty to possession of methamphetamines. The sentence was for five years, but he gets credit for about a year already spent in jail. Police say Torgerson was connected to Stephanie Low, who hasn’t been seen since October 10, 2010.
Police say new tips make them believe Torgerson may know what happened to Low. Investigators are still encouraging people with knowledge of Stephanie Low’s whereabouts should contact Wausau Police or your nearest law enforcement agency.
